Food & Cosmetic Regulations

“Companies and individuals who manufacture or market cosmetics have a legal responsibility to ensure the safety of their products. Neither the law nor FDA regulations require specific tests to demonstrate the safety of individual products or ingredients. The law also does not require cosmetic companies to share their safety information with FDA.” – https://www.fda.gov/cosmetics/guidanceregulation/lawsregulations/ucm074162.htm

The FDA also “regulates” the food industry; this is why we choose to take research and the health of our selves and families into our own hands.

Toxicity in the Beauty Industry

Toxic and other harmful synthetic chemicals in the modern beauty industry continue to be on the rise, with little to no public awareness. Routine use of these mainstream beauty products containing these contaminants can result in irritations, sensitivities, allergies, compromised immune systems, hormonal and developmental disruptions, diseases such as cancer, and so on.

Even though most beauty care products are used on top of the skin, they are meant to absorb into the skin and most alarmingly can penetrate straight into the blood stream. Inhalation of sprays and powders are also of high concern. Children, teenagers, or any others with a developing or already compromised immune system should be particularly cautious with what they use and consume, as they are at higher risk during these stages.

With about 17 personal care products used daily by the average teenage female consumer, and about 12 daily by the average adult female consumer, it’s no wonder how these products could have an impact on our health when used so frequently, whether negatively or positively. Unfortunately the problems we are seeing today are the negative impacts from these mainstream or highly marketed products with memorable names.

We are setting out to take the money and power away from those companies secretively and sometimes blatantly harming us, and to provide the knowledge and tools to take back the control of our own health, happiness and wellness.
